2025 Summer Curriculum, Reading and Math
Each summer at Holy Cross, students in grades 4-12 are assigned summer reading. This assignment is important because it helps students to maintain their reading skills and to prepare for the coming year’s studies.
The summer reading lists and assignments are linked here. Each student should click on the link that indicates his upcoming English course. In August, students will write in response to their reading, and this writing will be their first grade in English class for the year.
Please note that there is also a reading for students entering AP World History.
Families of 8th graders, you will receive an email regarding your son's placement in English class.
If you have any questions about summer reading, please write to Ms. Aquilo at [email protected] or Ms. Chabreck at [email protected].
Additionally, students in all grades are also encouraged to participate in their parish library's summer reading programs. Click the link below to access your parish's program.
Happy reading!
