Holy Cross School Names Alumnus Trey Guillot Head Varsity Baseball Coach

NEW ORLEANS—Holy Cross School is pleased to announce the appointment of Trey Guillot as its head baseball coach for the 2018-2019 school year. Guillot has been serving as director of the school’s 5th through 12th grade baseball program and will continue in that role as well.

Guillot, a 1995 graduate of Holy Cross, was a three-year letterman in baseball and was all-district his junior and senior year and all-metro and team captain his senior season. Guillot attended Tulane University, playing baseball for two years under Coach Rick Jones, and transferred to the University of New Orleans, playing two years for Coach Tom Schwaner.

Guillot was a graduate assistant coach at UNO for two seasons and then was pitching coach at George Wallace Community College in Dothan, Alabama. He served as head coach at Archbishop Hannan and then served as head coach of Isidore Newman for 10 years, where his teams compiled a 163-86-1 record with five district championships and nine state playoff appearances.

Coach Guillot returned to his high school alma mater in 2017, teaching middle school social studies, coaching middle school football, and serving as varsity pitching coach. He began serving in the school’s admissions office in 2018 and will continue in that role in addition to his baseball coaching role.

Coach Guillot has a strong track record, and together with our team of nine highly qualified baseball staff members, we are confident he will continue a successful program for our young men.
