Our pre-kindergarten students have been studying tools and simple machines. They learned that while some tools are small like our hands, others are large like a dump truck. We use tools to make our lives easier.
The class discussed the six simple machines and demonstrated the corresponding tools. We worked with a lever, a screw, a pulley, an inclined plane, a wedge and wheels. We also learned how it is important to use the correct tool for the job.
