Seventh Graders Attend Chrism Mass

Our seventh grade class, as part of their "Boys to Men: Continuing the Journey" program, had a special opportunity to attend the Chrism Mass held at St. Louis Cathedral last Tuesday. The Chrism Mass is one of the most solemn and important liturgies of the liturgical year. The Mass takes its name from the blessing of the holy oils used in the sacraments throughout the year, which are then given to priests to take back to their parishes.

Following Mass, the boys enjoyed a special lunch at Antoine's Restaurant in the French Quarter.
