Years at HC?

Do you have an affiliation with Holy Cross?

My father in law graduated from Holy Cross; my son, Drew is in 8th grade and started in 7th last year

What led you to teaching/working in a school?

My son being at HC led me to substitute at the Elysian Fields campus in the spring of last year and I loved the atmosphere, the students, and the faculty. When a Position to teach science ,my favorite subject, became available, I knew I wanted to be a part of the HC community.

How do you normally spend your summer breaks?

During the summer, I spend my breaks with family as much as I can. I also enjoy traveling, especially to anywhere there is a beach. Summer is also spent at baseball tournaments for my son.

What are your interests?

I love LSU and Saints football and we try to make as many games as we can. My husband and I love music so concerts and live music is something we enjoy doing together.

Are you actively involved in anything outside of school?

If you were trapped on a desert island, what coworker would you want there to keep you company?

I honestly love them all! I think I would have all the the Elysian Fields faculty and staff there with me to contribute each of their talents to keep us safe, fed, and entertained! They are such a great group of people to be around.

What is your favorite food?

I love Italian food! Anything pasta is my favorite!

What is the most satisfying thing about working with students?

The most satisfying thing working with students are those moments when you look around a busy science classroom, boys are collaborating, and taking ownership of their learning. When you see your students truly excited about a lesson or concept that is what I love!

What is your professional motto?

Get to know your students and their interests. It goes such a long way in the classroom when you know who they are.
