Winners Announced for the 10th Annual Holy Cross Science and Engineering Fair

Holy Cross held its 10th annual Science and Engineering Fair on Saturday, January 16th.  Volunteers from local universities and engineering firms, including several HC alums, judged over 100 projects and awarded prizes in each category as well as overall “Best in Show” awards.  Additionally, 37 projects were selected to represent Holy Cross at the Greater New Orleans Science & Engineering Fair in February.  Congratulations to all the students who completed a project!  Below is the list of award winners.

OVERALL WINNERS:

  • Junior Division winner: Joey Zimmerman (8th grade) – “Engineering & Testing a Positioning Device for Patients”
  • Senior Division, 1st place: Ethan Boyd (10th grade) – “How Much Bacteria is in Musical Instruments?”
  • Senior Division, 2nd place: Connor Lisotta (9th grade) – “What is the Best Filament for a Light Bulb”
  • Senior Division, 3rd place: Gabe Lucroy (10th grade) – “Music Affects our Mood”
  • Senior Division, 3rd place: Jeffrey Louis (9th grade) – “How does Font affect Memory?”
