The Beginning of the End

The seniors celebrated the receiving of their rings last Saturday. The ring ceremony embarks on the beginning of the end of the seniors’ high school careers. It’s the true passing of the torch to the 2020 senior class. Father Joe presided the ring mass that grasped the attention of the students, staff, and parents. The ceremony was brimming with joy and excitement, as the seniors proceeded to receive their rings and etch their names into the Holy Cross history books. Senior Joshua Guillory described the evening as a “beautiful ceremony for the seniors to assume their roles as the sole leaders of the school.” The presentation of the rings is always an outstanding sight, but they were also accompanied by some of the vintage legacy rings that some fathers and grandfathers passed on to their sons and grandsons.

Concluding the evening was the ring dance on campus. The ring dance consisted of music, good food, and a photo booth. The cafeteria was transformed into an enchanting dance hall on Saturday night. You’d never know you were in a cafeteria. Plenty of seniors showed another side of themselves while dancing the night away. Jeremy Lindsey said his favorite part about the night was the dancing. "The DJ was good and very interactive with us. I liked dancing with my friends. We were just all together and having a good time." The dancing was extremely entertaining as the DJ kept the party jumping. The night was a truly extraordinary event that the class of 2020 will never forget.
