Thanks to a grant from Terracon, and a matching grant from Digital Engineering (Kurt Evans ’74), a group of middle school students led by Marie Hooper participated in a “Full STEM Ahead” Club, which met after school once a week to work on STEM activities, including the design and creation of a hands-free umbrella. The members of the club were mentored by professional engineers including Mr. Frank Liang (Digital Engineering), Mr. Ayan Mehrota (Terracon) and Holy Cross alumni Mr. Ryan Roberts ’90 (NASA) and Mr. Ricky Simon ’82 (Terracon).
