Congratulations to Senior Ashton Stephens IV, who has been named the winner of the 2019 Father Tom Chambers Scholastic Award from the Willwoods Community. Stephens will receive a $1,000 scholarship award that will be presented to him at the group's annual gala on April 27.
The Willwoods Community is a Catholic faith community that was established in 1978 by a group of married couples desiring to support the Catholic Church and the Southeast Louisiana community through prayer and service. Since then, Willwoods has grown to serve different areas, including Affordable Housing, Faith & Marriage, WLAE TV and TheDailyMass.com.
Stephens was named the winner of the Chambers scholarship based on his academic and community achievements, as well as an in-person interview with the scholarship committee.
