Presidential Search

  • On September 3, 2024, the Holy Cross Board of Directors finalized and announced its decision to form a Holy Cross community-based Search Committee chaired by HC Board Member, Remy Donnelly.  In being community based, no outside consultants or search firms are being hired.   
  • By September 13, 2024, the Search Committee was fully staffed with volunteer representation from all major Holy Cross constituent groups, and the process for the Search Committee along with target dates and objectives was developed and finalized.  Additionally, all job description and presentation materials for the President position were complete. 
  • By September 17, 2024, job postings in various mediums were completed and active, including mediums available in the metro New Orleans area, the Archdiocese of New Orleans, the Holy Cross Congregation, and other Catholic outlets.
  • As of September 27, 2024, Holy Cross has received 13 formal applicants for the President position along with additional inquiries that will produce additional applicants.  5 of the 13 formal applicants due to their qualifications were submitted to the Search Committee for initial review.
  • As of October 9, 2024, Holy Cross has received 25 total formal applicants for the President position.  12 of the 25 formal applicants due to their qualifications have been submitted to the Search Committee for initial review.
  • At the close of business on October 25, 2024, the Search Committee closed the application phase of the search process.  The Search Committee received 29 applicants in total.  The Search Committee is currently conducting the first round of interviews with selected applicants.
