2000's

Ryan Willis '01 signed a Free Agent contract with the St. Louis Rams following a great collegiate carrer with LSU, including winning the 2003 National Championship.

John C. Porter '03 recently graduated magna cum laude from Hendrix College in Conway Arkansas, majoring in French. He was inducted into the French Honor Society (Pi Delta Phi) and into Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. John received a Fulbright Scholarship and will be teaching English to French students in France this year and also received from an award from Hendrix College for International Leadership.  David Donze, PhD `77 has been promoted to Associate Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Louisiana State University.
 

Kevin Kimberly '07 recently completed his first semester as a freshman at the University of Notre Dame with a 3.5 GPA.

 

1990's

Dr. & Mrs. Michael Heller '90, celebrated the birth of their second daughter, Emily Rene' Heller.

Mr. & Mrs. John Costello '90 married June 23, 2007. 

Marc Marinello '90 and his wife Maria proudly announce the birth of their third child, Isabelle Marie.

Rick Watson ' 92  was recently promoted to Director of Product Management - ChannelAdvisors Corp.

Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Barreca '94 celebrated the birth of their second baby boy on August 30th, Perrin Michael Barreca, who was 6lbs 4oz. 

Joseph Elfer '94 and his wife Jeanne recently celebrated the birth of their daughter, Aline Margaret Elfer, who was 7 lbs. 10 oz. and 19 ½ inches long.

Kevin Verneuil '95 and his wife recently celebrated the birth of a baby girl, Abigail Rose Verneuil, who was 7lbs 6ozs, and bornon November 5th.

 

1980's

Joseph Algero `81, his wife of 23 years, Kim, and their 3 children now reside in Orlando, FL where Joe does commercial electrical work, primarily for Walt Disney World.

Dr. Henry A. Gabb, III `84 has been promoted to Principal Engineer with Intel Corporation.

Chris Sinatra `86 is the owner of Sinatra Enterprises, a manufacturers' representative sales group which deals exclusively in the advertising specialty industry. Chris and his wife Shelly reside in Elgin, IL and are the proud parents of Jake (6) and Rachel (4).

Frank DiCristina `89 has joined Chemtura, a manufacturer of fire retardant chemicals, as Plant Manager of the firm's El Dorado, AR facilities.



1970's
 

Glen Fallon `73 is now Principal of Meisler Middle School in Jefferson Parish.

Dr. Gerard P. Rabalais `73 has been named Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Louisville/Kosair Children's Hospital.

Kurt M. Evans `74 has been appointed to Governor-Elect Bobby Jindal's Transition Team. Kurt also proudly announced that his daughter, Courtney, has graduated from Savannah College of Arts and Design.


1960's

Shaun B. McGarry `61 has retired from Texaco, Inc. and is residing in Baton Rouge. Shaun has also retired with the rank of Lt. Colonel from the U. S. Army Reserves.

Joseph C. Algero, Jr. `61 and his wife Audrey are celebrating 46 years of marriage and have 17 grandchildren. Joe now works 6 months of the year as a project manager in Florida and plans his travels during the rest of the year.

Andy Thiel `65 and his high school sweetheart, Maxine, are celebrating 40 years of marriage. Andy is in his 38th year of teaching and coaching and is now Track and Cross Country Coach and Teacher at Fontainebleau High School.

Alwin P. Perret, Jr. `66 has retired from Murphy Oil Company and is traveling the USA in his RV.

Owen J. Batt `68 is now employed as Senior Engineer with Swift Energy Company of Houston, TX.


1950's



Fr. Francis Schneider '55, continues Missionary work in Taiwan


Edmond Story `50 has retired from the U. S Army with the rank of Colonel. Edmond completed 39 years of service to our country!

George Rhode `50 and his wife Shirley recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. All of the Rhode's 7 children attended grammar school at St. Francis Cabrini School, the site of the new location of Holy Cross School.  George stated that he is very happy HC has relocated to his family's old neighborhood.

David Shanks `56 has retired as Manager of Computer Operations for the Louisiana Department of Revenue after 35 years of service. David is now a religious writer for the Voice of Faith column which appears in the Baton Rouge Advocate. He also stays active as a member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.

Baptiste "Bat" DeJean, Jr. '59 has retired from Shell Oil Company and Parsons Engineering Co. Bat and his wife, Edwina, will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary this year.

Leon Geraci `59 is still residing in Baton Rouge but is looking forward to returning to his Prentiss Avenue home so he can walk to baseball and basketball games on the new campus of HC.

Rodney Acquistapace `59 reports that he is looking forward to retiring at the end of this year. Rodney is the owner of Tire World, Inc.

1940's 

Stephen Loyacano `43 (aka Stephen Lord) has now written over 200 TV shows and movies in his long career as a film writer, director, producer and composer and currently writing his first musical. Stephen also proudly reports that his daughter, Elizabeth, has achieved success on the Broadway stage and is on her second tour in Phantom of the Opera.

Francis X. Berlin `36 and his wife Beverly will be celebrating their 68th wedding anniversary on October 15, 2008.
