Religious Studies Department

The Holy Cross Religious Studies Program educates young men in the teachings and values of the Catholic Church as reflected in the particular mission of the Congregation of the Holy Cross whose motto is Crux Spes Unica: The Cross Our Only Hope. It is the goal of the Religious Studies Department to present to students Catholic dogma, doctrine, and traditions, but also to inform that knowledge with hope and love. Young men in Holy Cross religious studies classes are given the example, encouragement, and opportunity to live fully the Catholic Christian truths and values they are taught, thus emulating Jesus Christ with their bodies, minds, souls, and hearts.
