Tigers selected to Junior High Honor Band |
Two Holy Cross trumpet players were selected into the LMEA District VI Junior High Honor Band, Ryan Vicknair and Billy Schehr. Only the best students were selected from across the city in grades 6-9. The concert is January 19th at 2:00 p.m. at Dixon Hall on Tulane's campus. |
Tigers Named to Honor Band
The District 6 Senior High Honor Band auditions were today and the results are Marc Linam - Oboe, Zachary Gaston - Tenor Sax, Chase Hoselle - Trumpet, Zachary Koch - Trumpet, Robert Benoit - French Horn, and Miles Herkender - French Horn have made it. These students have worked hard on their tryout music and now it shows. The Senior High Honor Band will be held at Tulane University - Dixon on January 19, 2008 - 2PM. Two Holy Cross Bandsmen Selected into the Loyola/Bourgeois Band Congratulations go out to two senior Tiger Bandsmen, Marc Linam on oboe and Zachary Gaston on saxophone, for their selection into the 2007 Loyola/Bourgeois Band. The Loyola University Wind Ensemble holds an annual concert were they invite the two best musicians from each of the area high schools to perform with them in a special concert. In addition to performing under the director of the college, Dr. Joseph Hebert, they also perform under the direction of The President's Own Marine Band retired conductor, Col. John R. Bourgeois. It is a great privilege and honor to perform under these two conductors. The concert was held on November 11th, 2007 at Loyola University.
