Holy Cross Scholarships


Holy Cross strives for excellence in all of its academic and extracurricular programs.

In order to accomplish this mission, Holy Cross is offering new academic scholarship opportunities.

Academic Scholarships

Holy Cross strives for excellence in all of its academic and extra-curricular programs, in other words - "Excellence in everything". In order to accomplish this mission Holy Cross is offering three new academic scholarship opportunities.  We strive for the best therefore we want the best. Please consider Holy Cross as your academic choice.  In order to be eligible for one of the following
scholarships you must apply and be accepted to Holy Cross 8th or 9th grade and take the High School Placement test at Holy Cross on Application Day. There will be an additional award of $200 for each scholarship level for scoring 90-99 composite on the High School Placement Test.

Hampton
Scholarship

• $2,500 each year for 4 or 5 years
• Renewable based on maintaining a 3.5 or higher
grade point average on a 4.0 scale
Requirements:
• Score a 98-99 Composite on the previous 2 years
Stanford Achievement test
• "A" work at elementary school for previous 2
years

Hickey
Scholarship

• $1,250 each year for 4 or 5 years
• Renewable based on maintaining a 3.5 or higher
grade point average on a 4.0 scale
Requirements:
• Score a 94-97 Composite on the previous 2 years
Stanford Achievement test
• "A" work at elementary school for previous 2
years

MCDonnell
Scholarship

• $625 each year for 4 or 5 years
• Renewable based on maintaining a 3.5 or higher
grade point average on a 4.0 scale
Requirements:
• Score a 90-93 Composite on the previous 2 years
Stanford Achievement test
• "A" work at elementary school for previous 2 years


Bro. Fischer Iwasko
Scholarship

A student entering 8th grade who attends Holy Cross from grades five to seven and achieves a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher will receive a $500 Holy Cross Scholarship renewable for five years provided he maintains a 3.5 or higher grade point average on
a 4.0 scale.

Moreau
Scholarship

The Board of Directors created the Moreau
Scholarship program in 1998 as an expression of
commitment to the neighborhood. A limited
number of Moreau Scholarships are available to
students entering ninth grade. The scholarships
are targeted at young men who would benefit
from a Holy Cross education but cannot afford
it. The scholarship is renewable if the student
makes satisfactory academic progress and
maintains a good disciplinary record.

Need-Based Financial Aid-Holy Cross Summer Work Grants

A limited number of summer work grants
ranging from $ 200 to $ 1,200 are available to
students who qualify for financial aid.
Applications for the Summer Work Grant
Program will be available online in March.



Music Scholarships

Music has been part of the course of study at
Holy Cross since 1895. Music Scholarship
Auditions are held each year for a variety of
music scholarships. For information regarding
auditions for scholarships, please call the
Director of Bands at 942-3100.
