Teaching is, for me, simply the only thing I have ever wanted to do. It just took a long time to get here. Sharing my love of science and the world with students is the most rewarding thing I have ever done and I am grateful for the opportunity to do it every day. It really is all about these boys and their endless ability to surprise with how much they can learn, the insightful (if sometimes downright weird but very cool) questions they ask, and the talent they demonstrate, not just sometimes, but every day. I had passionate teachers in my life without whom my own life would have been less full, less rich and less interesting. If I can be that for even one child every year, I feel I am giving back a bit of what was so generously given to me.
