Teacher Spotlight
Lou Carboni ’68
Posted: May 2, 2017

I believe the main theme of my teaching and coaching is DISCIPLINE. I believe if the atmosphere is disciplined, then the mind and body will be disciplined as well, and the student/athlete can perform as we expect him to. It doesn’t matter if it’s in the classroom or on the athletic field. With discipline, anyone can learn anything. Discipline must happen from the beginning, and everyone needs to know who is in charge. As teachers, we are here to give our boys our very best (bell to bell and first pitch to last). They need to push themselves to find out what’s on the other side of that door that they might be hesitant about opening. Simply put, if you are disciplined, you can handle anything including controversy. One can’t get very far without it!
