Work Study

The recipients of the work study dollar amounts have not been assigned yet.  What I can tell you is that once those people have been designated, we will start the summer program very soon after.

The plan as it stands is for the Moreau Scholars to come work for the first two weeks, giving them the opportunity to complete as many as forty hours in that time period.  We will likely do eight five hour shifts with Moreau Scholars only.  Once that time has passed, each work day will be open to all who can use the hours.

TENTATIVELY, I would like to work four days per week from 8:30 until 1:00 PM, which is good for four hours per day after lunch has been counted.  Occasionally there will be chances to work longer days.

One job left this school year:

Coach Yentzen needs help with taking physicals on Saturday May 12th from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM.  You are not required to work the entire shift, but he needs as many hands as he can get for as long as you can help.  Please comment if you would like to work.  This is worth five hours.

WEAR YOUR WORK STUDY JERSEY

Currently, there are no jobs scheduled between now and the start of the summer session.  Be Sure to check back daily in case help is needed.

Coach Irwin is in need of several workers for Saturday’s Track Meet.  You will report to school at 8:00 AM to help load up, then ride with the coaches to the meet at East Jefferson High School.  We need timers, one person on video, another to help work the triple jump pit, keep the water bottles full, etc.  Please comment here if you would like to sign up.  This is the last track meet of the year and it is actually pretty fun work.

Currently, Blake Hebert, Ron Davalos, and Daniel Relayson are signed up.  Coach needs two more.

Mr. Irwin realizes that the Tuesday check-in has been a bit sloppy lately.  However, not one person showed up on April 10th.  Please remember that these meetings are not optional, and by not showing you are costing yourself very easy hours.
