Two members of the Holy Cross School faculty and staff earned Doctorate degrees this past spring. Dr. Andrew Watley, counselor and religion teacher at the primary campus, earned a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. The title of his dissertation is "Exploring Masculinity Among Young Men Who Have Embraced the Fitness Culture." Dr. Karen duPlantier, director of counseling and guidance, also earned a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and supervision, and her dissertation is titled "The Lived Experiences of Adolescent Males Who Have Participated in a Holy Cross Immersion Service-Learning Project."
Both graduated in May from the University of Holy Cross in New Orleans. Holy Cross School now has ten faculty and staff members with doctorate-level degrees. Congratulations to Dr. Watley and Dr. duPlantier!
