Once the sweatshirts are ordered, we will begin working on the video. We will simply load them onto individual flash drives once the footage is organized. That should take a few more days.

Great, great job by everyone who participated this year. Our group was an incredible collection of Holy Cross Men. More details on the outcome of this meet will be available shortly. Congratulations to Gavin Broussard and Chance DeMonte, who were named MVPs of field events and track events respectively. There were many first place finishes as well as personal records set, as we competed at our highest level in the last meet of the year.
Click above on Meet Entries to see your placement in the Newman meet. All participants should arrive no later than 9:00 AM unless instructed otherwise and Coach Irwin would like for you to stay until the end. This is the last time we will be together as a team.
Please make sure that you are well hydrated and that you eat breakfast before coming to the meet. Bring sunblock and whatever snacks you need. We will have water but not food.
The meet is at East Jefferson High School, which is at the intersection of West Metairie and Phlox. Please see “FOR PARENTS” above for specific instructions from various points of departure.
Tuesday: Pole Vaulters practice. High jumpers check with Coach Rebaudo about the availability of the high jump pit.
Wednesday: Throwers throw, Runners and jumpers take the bus to the track. Regular practice.
Thursday: Final practice of the year. All meet in the 2nd floor of the student center. Entries will be posted in the evening.
Saturday: Meet at East Jefferson High School. All athletes should report no later than 9:00 AM unless instructed otherwise. Field events start at 9:30 with pole vault. Running events will start at 10:00 AM.

***We can run as many people as we wish in both the 1600 and 3200 meter runs next weekend*** All Whippers and Snappers are welcome to take part, but make sure you come to practice!
Weekend Workout:
Sprinters:
Saturday or Sunday: Warm up, stretch, 2 110 striders, four 400 meter runs in under 80 seconds. Walk one lap inbetween.
Distance:
3 miles on Saturday, again on Sunday
Throwers:
30 pushups in under 20 minutes, 30 squats in under 30 minutes, 30 seconds of crunches on both Saturday and Sunday

Congratulations to everyone for another spectacular performance by the entire Holy Cross Track and Field Team. The Whippers took the runner up trophy at the Tangi Private School Invitational while the Snappers took an astonishing 1st Place!!!!!
Nearly all competitors reached a personal best in each of their events and Duronne Walker was named Track MVP for the Middle School division. The most amazing thing about the win is that four Snappers left the team without notice since the last meet. With a completely short handed team and no relay entries, the Tigers still accumulated enough points for first place. To those that stayed with the team, what a performance! You bring out the best in each other. Results will be available for viewing as soon as I receive them.
Enjoy the weekend, and we will have one more week of solid work before our last meet of the season. All are welcome to practice and qualify, regardless of age, but there is only one division at the Newman Invitational on April 28th at East Jefferson High School.
Pictures on Monday. All those who have remained on the team are expected for the picture. Anyone who still needs a form please pick them up from Coach Ford at her office.
The meet will be held at Covington High School on Thursday and the field events will start at 3:00 with pole vault.
Students will not go to their last period classes. Instead they will change and get on the bus with their books and clothes. Once their events are over, they are free to go home with their parents or rides. The bus will leave us in Covington.
Please make sure that you do not consume junk food and that you eat both breakfast and lunch. Bring some snacks to the meet as we will be there for quite a while.
The entries can be viewed in the tab above, and directions to the meet can be found under “For Parents.” Admission is $5 per adult and $3 per child.
We expect to take first in most of the events, so come cheer us on.
There will be no running. All throwers, jumpers, and runners please meet in the Thursday meeting spot.
