Varsity Track Takes Home First Place Finish

Last week the Holy Cross Varsity Track and Field team were crowned champions of the the Ronnie Doyle Classic, hosted by Archbishop Rummel High School at Tad Gormley Stadium. Holy Cross was able to score 135 points to take home the 1st place Team Trophy.  In addition, there were 5 first place finishes:

- 4x100M Relay team (Caleb Washington, Christian Bordelon, Landen Bates, Kym Wimberly)

- 1600M Run (Blake Baldassaro)

- 3200M Run (Cade Martin)

- 100M Dash (Christian Bordelon)

- Long Jump (Kym Wimberly)

- Archbishop Shaw High School (61 Points)

- Brother Martin High School (95 Points)

- De La Salle High School (59 Points)

- KIPP Booker T Washington High School (47 Points)

The next meet up for the Track and Field Team is the 'Catholic Schools Challenge' in Bay St. Louis; hosted by St. Stanislaus College.
