Attention all 8th - 12th graders... the annual Crescent Tiger Throw Down is in two weeks. Shirts must be ordered by this Wednesday. Cost of the shirt is only $15 and the shirt is your ticket in the door plus food for the night. If you do not order a shirt, you can still go but will pay $15 at the door but will not get the shirt. the event is Friday March 6th from 7-10pm. Local Holy Cross band Paris Avenue will perform as well as Code 30 who will open for them. See Mr. Ferry in the activities office to order your shirt.

Attention middle schooler students: USA wrestling season and Tiger wrestling club starts the week after Mardi gras. Practice is every Tuesday and Thursday after school. There will be a sign up sheet on wrestling room door.

OOKAY!!! It's time to make reservations to see the Holy Cross Center Stage production of 'The Music Man'! Just go to the home page click on campus life, click on theatre reservations and book your seat. Don't miss out on the fun. Be there! March 5-9 in the Watson Theatre!

Attention all middle schoolers. The USA wrestling season has arrived. Come sign up for Tiger Wrestling Club today! There is a sign up sheet on the wrestling room door. Practice is every Tuesday and Thursday after school. All you need is your PE uniform.



Congratulations to the Varsity tennis team on a solid victory against St. Martins in the first match of the season. The team won 6 out of 7 matches. Josh Reimonenq, Daniel Bulloch, Noah Pizzuto, Will Pizzuto, Carson Doles, Trevor Ramagos, and Bryce Montalbano all played great tennis to secure the win for the team.

Attention all current and interested Beach Volleyball players, there will be general information meeting held this Thursday at 7:30am in H205. All current players as well as those interested in joining our championship-winning team should attend. We will discuss the spring league schedule as well as jersey & sweatshirt ordering information.

Attention Middle School Quiz Bowl Members:

There will be a meeting today in room M105 from 3:20 to 4:05. Not only will trivia be offered but there will also be discussions for the next Tournament on March 7th & 14th.

Those able to attend these tournaments please attend this meeting.

In TCAC yesterday, the Cavaliers defeated the Heat by only 2 points! Shane Welch led his team with 6 points. The Warriors beat the Mavericks with a score of 34 to 20. Trevor Terminie led his team with 15 points and Trent Terminie had two 3 pointers! The Mavericks and Cavaliers will be playing for the championship today after school. Good luck to everyone!

Your retreat will be this Wednesday, February 25. Please turn in your permission slip into your Theology teacher as soon as possible. Dress code as follows: Please wear a Holy Cross Shirt, No flip-flops or pajama pants Please make sure you bring a bag lunch that day. Food will not be provided.

Mason Wallace led his team with 10 points. Great games yesterday! They playoffs will be today with #1 seed, Cavaliers, taking on the #4 seed, Heat at 2:30 and then the #2 seed, Warriors, will play the #3 seed, Mavericks. Championship games will be tomorrow!

Reminder! Any freshman, sophomore, or junior interested in attending the Holy Cross College Road trip this summer, deposits are due by the end of this week. Please see Mrs. Lumas the College Counselor for more information.

Congratulations to the Chorus members who sang at District Solo and Ensemble Festival yesterday. The Honors Vocal Ensemble was awarded a Superior rating. Additionally, Joe Angelette, Eddie Falshaw, Coldin Grundmeyer, Hayden Waldvogel, and Michael Wexler received Superior ratings for their solos and duets, and Logan Puissegur relieved a rating of "Excellent" for his solo performance.

7th Grade Metro Baseball Tryouts

The 7th Grade Metro Baseball Tryouts will take place
February 26th, 27th and March 2nd at the Louisiana Baseball and Softball Academy in Harahan, LA. The tryouts will begin at 3:30PM and end at approximately 5:15PM If you have any questions please email Coach Lumas. The 7th Grade Metro coach this year is Buddy Michieu.

Congratulations to the varsity golf team on their season opening win yesterday. The Tigers defeated Destrehan 162-178 and were led by senior Marloes Booker, who shot a 3 over par 39. Senior Nick Tamplain, Sophomore Peter Hansen, and 8th grader Jay Beatmann all shot 5 over par 41.

The Freshmen Baseball team will have tryouts for anyone not making it this past weekend, Wednesday @ 3:00 pm at Prat Park.

In TCAC games yesterday, the Cavaliers dominated the Heat with a score of 26 to 10. Shane Welch led the team again with 8 points while Joseph Foto helped out with 7! The Warriors took down the Mavericks with a score of 25 to 13. Chance Colomb did an amazing job and led his team with 13 points! TCAC will be back in action today as the Mavericks play the warriors at 2:25pm and the Cavaliers play the Heat at 3:00pm.

Attention student council members... meeting TOMORROW! Not today. There will not be a student council meeting today. REPEAT!

The Freshmen Baseball team will have tryouts for anyone not making it this past weekend, Wednesday @ 3:00 pm at Prat Park.

In TCAC games on Friday, the Cavaliers defeated the Warriors with a score of 29 to 21. Shane Welch and Joseph Foto both led the team with 8 points each! The Mavericks beat the Heat with a score of 25 to 14. Paul Johnson led his team with 13 points. Great effort by everyone. TCAC will be back in action today, Monday, with the Heat vs. the Cavaliers at 2:50 and the Mavericks vs. the Warriors at 3:25.

In TCAC games yesterday, the Cavaliers held on to defeat the Mavericks 31 to 30. Shane Welch led the Cavs with 4 points. The Warriors beat the Heat with the score of 44 to 27 and Trent Terminie led the team with 10 points. TCAC games continue today with the Warriors vs. the Cavaliers at 2:50 and the Mavericks vs. Heat at 3:25.

Attention all 9th graders who are attending the freshmen field trip...You may wear APPROPRIATE retreat attire tomorrow. This means that you may wear an APPROPRIATE pair of jeans, a Holy Cross shirt, and tennis shoes. ALL outer garments MUST also be official Holy Cross sweatshirts and jackets. If you do not come dressed correctly, you will NOT be allowed on the bus. You will report to your first period class until an announcement is made to dismiss to the bus zone.

Attention all TCAC basketball players. Today, during lunch Coach Lumas will be handing out jerseys and schedules for tomorrow's TCAC games. Jersey and schedules can be picked up in the huddle. The first game will begin at 2:50PM and the 2nd game will follow at 3:25PM. Students are to get dressed in the Student Center restrooms or middle school locker rooms immediately after school. (*Please note that if bathrooms or locker rooms are mistreated in any way you will no longer be able to get dressed in those areas.) Mrs. Willis, Coach Toefer and Coach RIvera will tell you where you can leave your bags before the start of the games. Each team will have a separate spot to keep their belongings. Let's get our hoop on!!!

Congratulations to the Varsity Bowling Team for the 24 to 3 Victory over Bonnabel High Schoo in yesterday's matchl. Holy Cross won by an overwhelming 721 pins. Be sure to cheer the team on at the next match on Monday, February 9 against Archbishop Shaw at AMC Lanes in Kenner at 3:30.

Attention Students:

Fr. Jonathan will be on campus tomorrow. He is available for confessions, spiritual counseling, or if you need someone to talk too.. Please join us for mass tomorrow morning in the chapel. Mass will begin at 7:30am.

The 5th-7th grade dance will be from 5-8pm and the high school dance will be from 8:30-11:30pm. This is one of the biggest dances of the year. Cost of the dance will be $10 at the door. Wear your favorite APPROPRIATE pajamas and there will be prizes for most creative and best outfit. There will be inflatables, a photo booth and more importantly, it will be a black light dance so wear your glow in the dark colors. See Mr. Ferry for more details.

Due to a campus improvement project taking place this weekend, all Friday and Saturday School detentions will be moved to next week.

In accordance with school closures Friday afternoon--there will be no aftercare--reminder, no aftercare Friday, January 30.

Students attending today’s field trip should put their books in their lockers and report to the bus circle after homeroom. Only students who are being checked out on the field trip may bring their bags.

The library will be closed afterschool Friday, January 30th.

Attention 5th, 6th, and 7th Graders:
Middle School Track practice will begin on Monday. We will stay on campus for Monday's practice. Anyone interested in competing on the Middle School Track and Field Team should report to the PE locker room immediately after school on Monday.

Attention Seniors:

The second senior retreat will be on February 12 and 13...Please get your permission slip and money into Coach Jackson and Mr. Ferry as soon as possible. Please check your email for additional permission slips.

Due to the Network Shutdown, Board Game Club WILL NOT MEET today. We will have our regular meeting next Friday in Room M105.



5th Grade Metro Baseball Tryouts

Metro baseball tryouts resume today January 29, 2015 on the Middle School Field. The final day of tryouts will be January 30th on the Middle School Field. A roster will be posted by Tuesday February 3, 2015. Good luck and go TIGERS!




6th Grade Metro Baseball Tryouts

Attention all 6th grade students.

Metro baseball tryouts will be Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week at Galatis Playground in Kenner. Tryouts will begin at 3:30PM and end at 5:00PM. Once again the dates for 6th Grade Metro Baseball tryouts are February 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

*EVERY STUDENT INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING IS REQUIRED TO BRING AN INDEX CARD WITH THEIR NAME, PARENTS PHONE NUMBER, AND POSITION.
