Announcements for 9/29/2016
posted by Holy Cross Announcements on 09/29/2016

In addition to striking good looks and amazing hairstyles, the Tiger Cross Country team can now boast a program that spans from 3rd to 12th grades. The HC Primary made their debut this past weekend at the HC/Dominican invitational, with a huge squad of 3rd and 4th grade athletes competing. Welcome little dudes! Holy Cross showed their bright future in the Middle School race with a 1st place team finish. Leyton Liuzza simply ran away from the competition, coming in first place by over 30 seconds: other finishers included Gage Baldassaro in 8th place, Dane Cazet in 9th, Ethan Ward in 10th, Brandon Payton in 11th and Colin Volpe in 13th. For the Junior High team, top finishers were Josh Raiford, Christian Liang, Theron Blanchard, James Dupuy, and Lyric Lee. In the Varsity race, the Tigers finished 3rd overall, and only 15 points behind St Paul’s School. Top finishers for varsity were Cade Martin, Blake Baldassaro, Adam Sequiera, Dominic Lincoln, and Teo Monthey. The runners of the Tiger XC team continue to prove they are unafraid of established opinions about the best teams in the state, fearlessly bucking against the status quo and running every race with aggression and a thirst for conquest. Go Tigers!

Ok your HC brothers and HC alums in the band Paris Avenue will be hitting the stage tonight for the Lafreniere Park Concert Series. The band hits the stage at 6:30pm and it is free. The band is made up of all HC alums - Bryce Scherer '14, Ray Boudreaux '14, Joseph Imgraguglio '15 and Drake Ferry '16. You can also catch the band at St. Mary Magdalen Fair, Divine Mercy Fair, Our Lady of the Lake Fair, Gretna Fest, and more.

Congratulations to the Junior High Football Team on its 26-7 victory over Jesuit. The defense was led by Ian Silva, who had a fumble recovery and an interception.
