Tiger Cross CountryCross Country

The Tiger Cross Country program is a fraternity of distance runners enriched with the tradition of being a part of one of the oldest high school cross country programs in the city of New Orleans. Just as our founder, Father Basil Moreau said, “We will not educate the mind at the expense of the heart,” Holy Cross distance runners embrace a similar credo: “We will not train the body at the expense of the heart.” Make no mistake – our work ethic is second to none, but our true success comes from the passionate heart that dwells within each of our runners.

If you are committed to becoming a better athlete, we are committed to helping you become a better man – a Holy Cross Man.

The Tiger Cross Country team performed well in two meets this past Saturday. The Middle School team raced in City Park at the Brother Martin Invite, and despite not having two key members for the race, the team still placed 2nd; just 2 points from winning. The team's next, and last race, will be the Metro Championship.
The Varsity Squad traveled to Walker, Louisiana, where all 7 runners raced to new personal bests in the 3 mile distance. With Andrew Gathman leading the charge, the team continues to work hard toward improvement, and making themselves a presence in 4A.
